The Apostles
These windows are symbols of the twelve apostles. In order from left to right, top to bottom are: St. Peter, St. James, St. John, St. Andrew, St. Bartholomew, St, Philip, St. Thomas, St. Matthew, St. Jude, St. Simon, St. Matthias and St. James the Less.
Generally, the symbols in the windows depict what the apostle was credited
doing in his lifetime and how he may have been martyred. It is a reminder
to us that in spreading the Gospel, the early Christians were persecuted and
killed.
